Bear Grylls has been a steady Christian for at least 3 years I think longer there is a film about him and his faith. .if you search BearGrylls testimony you will find more about him..My family have been great fans of his for many years...buy I am interested that you are wary about the" revival " time will tell ....here in the UK we have had a couple of big rallies in Trafalgar Square led by Daniel Shand who was a Muslim now a firey believer! With some of the young worship bands that Bear Grylls is wary of...me too if I'm honest but I have to say that the Elevation band bring out some powerful worship songs.....also have you heard of the Presence who are based in Amsterdam? They are truly amazing people who travel the world to take His Presence onto the streets ..they have been to the UK twice and even recently came when we really needed them and led us in repentance for the change in the abortion law...and stayed long enough to worship in downing Street the following week when the bill for assisted suicide was being presented again ...The UK is sailing stormy waters but there is a faithful remnant and we have a history of deep ancient wells of moves of the spirit of God ...so the gospel must go out ..but also a return to the torah ..which both yours an my country were founded upon..Also I meant to say that Daniel Shand is supported be some older very traditional respected leaders one of them is 90 ..and still travels the world with the gospel , his name is David ..ummm I can't remember his surname sorry! Thanks again for your daily posts I look forward to them ever morning ! I think you rece shared the testimony of Alice Cooper! And of course we have the infamous Russel Brand .Who again time will tell but I love his strangeness ! God takes the foolish things to confound the world doest he ,although Russel is not foolish in that sense is he ...he is highly intelligent...what a ramble I hope you don't mind ! Hi Margaret

Thank you for all of this. I am in the UK too ... and a member of a thriving country church in Norfolk. Yet I still struggle to gauge the status of "revival" in our country. I suppose it's reasonable (and common sense) to say there will be pockets of revival, yet pockets of resistance, just as there would have been after the D Day landings.

My ability to have an overview is limited, and perhaps that's God's business anyway.

Even so, it's a real thrill to see Bear Grylls being so unapologetic and so gracious. The same goes for these bands you mention too. As you say, Russell Brand is extraordinary, and I think you are right to be intrigued by his strangeness. :)
