… We might die to sins and live for righteousness …
1 Pet 2… Put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Eph 4For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Col 3 ⦿ … Just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life … For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin - because anyone who has died has been set free from sin … In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.

He Destroyed Evil
The Bible Project - 6 Minutes
This is a vintage Bible Project video. It’s ten years old and the truth about evil is still the same.
We all confront evil and fallenness every day. We confront beauty and godliness too. But the two ends of the goodness spectrum are strangely mixed whilst we wait for the new creation to fully arrive.
The Christian belief is that Jesus irreversibly set the wheels in motion, for the eventual dismantling of evil, by dying on the cross, and by rising from death.
