2 Tim 3“For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law - a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.” Mt 10 ⦿ … don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Jas 4 ⦿ Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life - comes not from the Father but from the world.
1 Jn 2“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Job - Why Am I Suffering?

Whichever way you look at it suffering is awful. It was awful for Job, it’s awful for you, and it’s awful for me. However, I have always loved this book of the Bible, and I keep going back to it. In many respects it just doesn’t answer my questions … but it does remind me it’s reasonable that many things are simply beyond my comprehension, and it would be surprising if they weren’t. God gives us a hint of the unfathomable nature of these things, and asks us to trust him.
